Automated Conflation Tool

The automated Conflation tool is a VBA macro developed in ArcGIS 9.0. The tool enables displacement links to be generated automatically between two spatial layers, based upon the closest snapping distance parameter.

The tool includes two commands: 1) Autolink; and 2) Delete All Links. Autolink is the main command for automatically creating the links. Delete All Links will delete all displacement links created in the map area.

The automated conflation tool should be used in conjunction with the Spatial Adjustment toolbox in ArcMap for conflation activities. Spatial Adjustment provides the adjustment commands and rubber-sheeting procedure.
